Why is Design important when it comes to Websites?

Design

It makes sense to question just how much emphasis should be placed on the design on element when contemplating a website. I get it, in some cases you're just trying to get the job done. If it's a website often times the idea is "I just want someone to go on the site, know what I do - then call me." In the ideal world it would all be that easy, but sometimes you have to win the visitor over and even more importantly have a site that will hold the attention long enough to get to the point.

Check your bounce rate.

Your bounce rate isn't always indicative of a poorly designed website but at times it can be something that starts to point you in the right direction.

As a rule of thumb, a bounce rate in the range of 26 to 40 percent is excellent. 41 to 55 percent is roughly average. 56 to 70 percent is higher than average, but may not be cause for alarm depending on the website. Anything over 70 percent is disappointing for everything outside of blogs, news, events, etc.

A high Bounce rate is essentially telling you that your site is not meeting the expectations of your visitor. They went to your site to find something and "bounced" when they came up short.

Good design is Accessible.

While the first thing that comes to mind when you think design is pretty colors and layouts - it more importantly means that the content is thoughtfully laid out to take your visitor for a unique journey through your business.

Let's do something amazing.
